Greater Manchester café launches massive 34,000 full English breakfast challenge - with a catch
A café in Bury has unveiled a massive breakfast challenge that includes 34 items. The 34,000 calorie meal by the Gusto Deli in Walshaw includes a plateful of sausages, fried eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, bacon rashers and hash browns.
But the cafe has launched the challenge with a catch -the humongous meal has to be eaten just half an hour. Bosses say the idea behind it was from a friend who wanted the café to make a food challenge for them. The meal in full includes four pieces of toasts, four hash browns, four fried fried eggs, four sausages, two pieces of fried bread, two pieces of spam and four bacon rashers. The breakfast will set you back £25 but if you are able to conquer the beast then you get the meal for free.So far this is yet to be achieved, according to the café owners. Posting on Facebook, the creators of the breakfast challenge said: “Our very good friend has been asking for a food challenge.
“So yesterday we set him one. This had 4 sausage, 4 bacon, 4 eggs, 4 hash browns, 4 black pudding, 2 spam, 1 burger, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, chips, 4 toast and 2 fried bread. “Unlucky he couldn’t finish. Could you, if you fancy a food challenge and think you could finish it you get the meal for free, £25 if you fail. Must be finished within 30 minutes.”
