A large chunk of the money is earmarked for the cultural, hospitality and leisure industries which have all complained of a drop in customers in recent weeks.There is also support for small and medium businesses struggling to cover the sick pay of people isolating with Covid.The hospitality sector has been hit hard by the sudden wave of Omicron spreading through the UK, at time a time that is usually one of the most profitable of the year.
