The Republican senator said Americans would learn more about the call "in the coming days.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham on Monday repeatedly encouraged President Donald Trump to release further details of his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Trump reportedly pressured his foreign counterpart to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden’s son.
Though Graham described talks with other world leaders as “one of the most privileged matters any president would have,” he predicted that “you’re going to find more about that phone call in the coming days” and said Americans would be “surprised about the level of transparency” from the White House regarding the conversation with Zelensky.
“Get ready for some disclosures from the president that I think will exceed every expectation,” he added. “I can’t promise you this will happen, but I think the president will clear the air when it comes to the whistleblower allegation.”
