The Light Blues legend was involved in the interview process for the new manager after the sacking of Michael Beale as he opened up on the behind the scenes of the search.
Graeme Souness has given a detailed insight into the Rangers manager search as he hinted he preferred ANOTHER candidate over Philippe Clement.
The Ibrox defeat to Aberdeen proved the final straw for the Rangers hierarchy and after an extensive search they decided on Clement as their new manager. Souness admits he was one of two outstanding candidates alongside Frank Lampard and the Chelsea hero had his vote - although the final say was NOT down to the 70-year-old.
