A hurricane warning has been issued ahead of Grace's final landfall expected in central Mexico early this weekend.Grace is now recovering from its track across Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and continues to bring threats of flooding rain and damaging winds to parts of Mexico. Grace will make a final landfall by this weekend in central Mexico, likely as a hurricane.
A hurricane warning is posted for the coast of mainland Mexico from Puerto Veracruz to Cabo Rojo. Hurricane conditions are expected there by late Friday or early Saturday. Winds are now increasing once again as Grace crosses the southwest Gulf of Mexico . Grace is forecast to regain hurricane strength prior to making a final landfall in central Mexico late Friday or early Saturday, most likely in Veracruz state.Areas near and north of where Grace makes its final landfall in central mainland Mexico could see a storm surge of 3 to 5 feet above normal tide levels.
