In a speech last year at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Mr. Trump called out all 10 by name and told his supporters to “get rid of them all” in the midterms. “It comes as little surprise that a contested primary followed by a general election race that’s likely less favorable would be unappealing, and a good political moment to move on,” said Luke Perry, a professor of political science at Utica College in New York state.Mr. Katko, the top ranking Republican on the Homeland Security committee, last year worked with the panel’s chairman, Bennie G. Thompson , in an effort to establish a bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan.
