'The public are very good at picking out people that are natural.'
The pair are currently participating in the 21st series, and revealed that the episodes during lockdown were special to both them and viewers.
“During COVID, people were saying that it was so good that they could see other people whilst sat in their living room,” said Tom. “Everyone in the country couldn’t get out, so it was like their way of meeting other people seeing us on telly." “The amount of people that we had coming up to us, saying that we really helped them through lockdown [while] they were in the flat on their own,” added Julie. “And people whose grandparents are living on their own and they really love it. Yeah, it's quite humbling.”
