Gogglebox star Reverend Kate Bottley has announced the death of her mum Magaret. The 47-year-old, from northern Nottinghamshire, took to Twitter last night to break the news to followers, and encouraged them to leave prayers.
"She really was a smasher," she wrote, alongside photos of the pair together. "May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace and rise in glory." In a follow-up tweet, Kate said: "And we’ll take all the prayers, mass intentions and general positive thoughts we can get, thanks. ."Last week, the Gogglebox star said her mum had been in hospital in Sheffield for three weeks. "She’s due home tomorrow. It’s been tricky emotionally as well as physically," she said at the time.May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace and rise in glory#mum pic.twitter.
Broadcaster Jason Mohammad said: "I am praying for you and your lovely mum Kate." Actress Kym Marsh added: "Sending lots of love darling xx."
