GlassOnion stars Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline recall how they learned of the KnivesOut sequel's killer identity. 'I would say [we found out from] the script. Rian didn't hide anything from us.'
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery stars Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline reveal how the cast learned who the killer was in the murder mystery. Now streaming on Netflix, the sequel sees Rian Johnson return as the writer and director and Daniel Craig reprise his prominent role as Detective Benoit Blanc. With an otherwise brand-new cast, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has reached expectations, where even critical reception remarks it as more humorous and over-the-top than the 2019 original.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In an interview with ComicBook.com, Henwick and Cline share details about how they came to learn the identity of the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery killer. They stated that Johnson isn't a fan of keeping the cast out of the loop, so the actors' scripts contained all the twists and turns from the Knives Out sequel's ending.
Jessica Henwick: Yeah, they did that when I was working on the... What didn't they do it on? Most of my jobs, they have withheld scripts until the last minute, and often they just won't give you the end of the script, and it's just a surprise. Rian is an actor's director. I think because he used to be an actor. Back in the day, he was a little theater kid. So, he understands how important it is from the get-go.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery brings back franchise mainstay detective Benoit Blanc, who must solve another murder with a whole new cast of characters, each with their own motivations for committing the crime. The Knives Out sequel takes place on a private island in Greece, home of Edward Norton's tech billionaire Miles Bron. The movie takes a meta turn when Miles invites his friends for a murder-mystery-themed getaway and someone dies, which is where Blanc comes in.
Who Should Be In The Cast For Knives Out 3 The Knives Out franchise has already become notorious for boasting extensive casts with some of Hollywood's best talent involved. Netflix will want to keep that streak going when casting for Knives Out 3 gets underway. Two major names in the industry that could anchor the cast of the murder-mystery are Harrison Ford & Olivia Colman, given their experience with darkly comedic efforts.
