The weather is set to get very wintry this week, with temperatures dipping to -5C and snow showers expected to hit Glasgow later in the week, growing heavy by Friday.
Glasgow is set to be hit by snow and plummeting temperatures this week, according to the BBC Weather forecast.
Snowfall will not reach the city until later in the week with the first flurry to arrive on Thursday, March 9 when "light snow and a gentle breeze" is being forecast by BBC Weather. On Friday, March 10, heavier snowfall is expected to blanket the city, with the forecast for "heavy snow showers". "Thursday will continue to be cold. It is likely to cloud over from the south during the morning, with a chance of light snow from the afternoon onwards."
