Free healthy meals for hungry children in Glasgow during holidays could be axed to save the council £500,000.
The move comes despite rising demand from families struggling to cope amid the cost of living crisis, the Daily Record reports. The proposal to scale back the Children's Holiday Food Programme used by 16,000 youngsters comes in the wake of news the council is considering taking £51million out of the education budget.
