The unit will be smaller that the one that was closed over a year ago.A Poundland spokesperson said:"We were really disappointed when we left our Dumbarton Road home when the lease expired but now pleased that just over a year later, we’ve managed to re-negotiate our return.
"It will be a smaller store than before, but Dumbarton Road shoppers will get the very best of our amazing value in a brand new store. "The store will follow our ‘local’ format with a range of items tailored to suit the needs of customers, whether they live or work locally - we’ve got lots to do kitting out the store and haven’t quite firmed up an opening date but it looks like it will be towards the end of March/Start of April."
After the closure of the first Poundland, the location was taken over by young businessman Jordan Trainer, who used it to host a monthly pop-up market.
