The crash, which involved a 77-year-old male pedestrian and a car, happened at around 2pm on Sunday on Cathcart Road in the south side of the city. Police and ambulance crews rushed to the scene shortly after and closed the road in both directions while investigations were carried out.
Officers confirmed the pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time. The road was closed more more than an hour before being reopened at around 3.15pm. Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 2pm on Sunday, 10 September, 2023 we were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car on Cathcart Road, Glasgow.
