It was found that Glasgow City had the second highest rate of violent crime, and the highest number of people prosecuted for drug-related offences and antisocial behaviour.
Glasgow has been named as the second most dangerous place to live in Scotland according to research investigating crime statistics.
They used the latest available stats from the Scottish Government Statistics website, covering July 2021 through to June 2022, reports the Record.It was found that Glasgow City had 1,228 crimes per 10,000 people. However, Dundee was named as the most dangerous place in Scotland, with 1,270 crimes per 10,000 people. It was revealed the city of discovery topped the list "by a wide margin", coming "first in violent crime, theft, and sexual assault".
