Glasgow constituencies worst for life expectancy as babies 'live 12 years longer' in Hampstead
New research has named Glasgow's seven constituencies as the worst in the UK for life expectancy, while babies born in wealthy areas in London were expected to live the longest.
As reported by The Times, the 10 areas of the UK's 650 parliamentary constituencies that were found to have the lowest life expectancy all came from Scotland. Glasgow made up the top spots for lowest life expectancy, while West Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde and Dundee West took joint-second at 77. The top-10 areas for life expectancy were all from England, led by Hampstead and Kilburn and including spots such Wimbledon, where expectancy is 86.5 years of age.
