A city councillor has raised more than £1000 for charity by zip sliding across the River Clyde.
He said: “Doing a zip slide across the Clyde was terrifying but exciting in equal measure. I’m not sure if I have quite fully recovered yet.
“The main thing is that we have managed to raise over £1,000 for Poppy Scotland which I am absolutely delighted by. “I massively appreciate the donations from everyone and thanks also must go to my loyal supporters who came down to the Clyde to cheer me on. “Right now, I am not sure if I’d do a zip slide again, but I am pleased to have done my bit for such a worthy cause and it is great over £1,000 has been raised to help Poppy Scotland.”
