She built her own cookie drive-thru!
/Gray News) - It’s Girl Scout cookie season and one enterprising scout in Alaska has built her own cookie drive-thru.And customers seem to be loving the idea.Malchoff’s mother said it took her 17-year-old daughter about 3.5 years to get the booth to where it is today.
Customers said the cookie creation cart has all the ingredients for success.Malchoff said she was thinking of a coffee drive-thru when she brought her own kiosk to life.Malchoff’s mother said she is very proud of what her daughter has created.Copyright 2023 KTUU via Gray Media Group, Inc. Girl Scout entrepreneur has customers flocking to her mobile custom cookie kioskKaela Malchoff is a Girl Scout and its cookie season! But, instead of going door to door, she deals with cars and walk-ups. With the help of her family — mom Camilla, dad David, sister Mia and brother David — Kaela built a drive-thru cookie booth! She built it from the ground up using the frame of a 1970’s Prowler camper! She’s currently set up in the Carrs-Safeway parking lot at DeBarr & Boniface. It took her three years to complete the mobile cookie booth, but the wait was well worth it. Just ask her customers and her brother and sister (who’s also a Girl Scout). Cookies have become a family tradition and mom says having her daughter learn a business from the ground up is as rewarding as biting into a delicious Do-Si-Do cookie! Having the customers come to her has streamlined the process, and keeping up with all her sales is as easy as the state-of-the-art inventory and pay system she has set up!
