A 15-year-old girl has died after being pulled from the sea off Cleethorpes beach in Lincolnshire.
The victim, who has not been named at her family's request, was airlifted to hospital after she was rescued from the North Sea, but later died.The pair were rescued shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday, having been reported missing around 2pm that day. A search operation was launched involving Humberside police, Humberside fire and rescue services and the coastguard.
Detective Inspector Nathan Reuben, from Humberside Police, said:"Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.
