Girl, 15, charged with murder after setting fire that killed man in the Bronx
A 15-year-old girl was charged with murder after setting a fire that killed a man in the Bronx, cops said Sunday.
The teen, whose name was withheld because she’s a juvenile, was charged a week after the fatal fire broke out at 1211 Evergreen Avenue in Soundview around 2 p.m. on Jan. 29, police said.The girl is “known to frequent the area” and had a dispute with someone in the building but not the victim, a police spokesman said. She was arrested in Midtown.She was charged with murder, assault, arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, according to cops.
