Justin Pugh is back with the Giants.
accordingIt would not be a surprise to see Pugh, 33, eventually elevated to the active roster, even though it’s not like he has a ton of NFL career left. Still, he can perhaps help this floundering Giants line.
The Giants began the season with an offensive line of Andrew Thomas, Ben Bredeson, John Michael Schmitz, Mark Glowinski, and Evan Neal. The Giants desperately need to get Thomas back. But he aggravated his hamstring last week in practice, so it’s not clear when he’ll be able to return. Even when he does, the Giants will still have significant questions across their line — most notably with Neal, last year’s No. 7 overall pick.
If Schmitz can’t return for the Miami game, the Giants will have to figure out what to do at left guard, since Bredeson likely will play center. Would Lemieux or Glowinski get the nod there, presuming the Giants want to stick with McKethan at right guard?
