Wan'Dale Robinson is back.
to NFL Network. With Robinson coming off the PUP list, Crowder’s release was not surprising — especially since the Giants gave him just $27,500 guaranteed this offseason, on a one-year contract.
Robinson tore his ACL last season, on Nov. 20 against the Lions. He had nine catches for 100 yards in that game, as he showed why the Giants drafted him in Round 2 last year .In addition to Robinson and Campbell, the Giants also will retain receivers Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, and Isaiah Hodgins. Kalil Pimpleton and David Sills are the remaining roster long shot players in the Giants’ receiver room.
In Year 2, Robinson will try to stay healthier than he did last season, when he played in just six games. He dealt with a less serious knee injury before he tore his ACL. He finished his rookie year with 23 catches for 227 yards and one touchdown.Robinson coming off the PUP list means the Giants have just one player remaining on that list — cornerback Aaron Robinson, who is also recovering from a torn ACL.
