Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Georgia is one of the few states with a general election runoff, and he believes it should be ended.
Senate seat runoff last week between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker.
“Georgia is one of the only states in country with a general election runoff,” Raffensperger said in a statement released Wednesday morning. “We’re also one of the only states that always seems to have a runoff. I’m calling on the General Assembly to visit the topic of the general election runoff and consider reforms.”Georgia’s General Assembly convenes in January.
