It is well-known that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were very close with the late Queen and would spend a lot of time with her when they were growing up nearby on the Windsor Estate in both Sunninghill Park and Royal Lodge.
This fondness was clearly illustrated following the break down of the York's marriage as the late monarch bought Sarah, Beatrice and Eugenie a very generous gift.
