"There is no point putting a hosta plant which likes fairly moist soil and some shade in the sun because it won't do anything. Similarly, if you put a Mediterranean plant like lavender in the shade it will not grow properly."Alison said: "What cats like is nice easy to use soil which they can use as a toilet and that is the biggest problem gardeners have.
