Garbage truck driver Christopher Kollm died while he was driving on IR 490 in Cleveland on Monday, April 11, 2022. CLEVELAND, Ohio – A garbage truck driver died Monday after striking a bridge abutment on Interstate 77.
Christopher M. Kollm, 24, of Brunswick died at 5:24 p.m. on I-77 South, between East 30th Street and East 55th Street. Kollm drove a 2022 Mack garbage truck as he was headed eastbound on Interstate 490 when an unknown vehicle swerved in his lane and caused Kollm to lose control of the truck. The truck traveled off to the right side of the roadway, went through the grass, and up the embankment before it collided with the bridge abutment, police said.Kollm’s was pronounced dead at the scene.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
