Warriors vs. Kings Game 7 preview: How the Warriors can overcome win-or-go-home

The Warriors had a chance to close this first-round series in Game 6 at home, where they’ve dominated all year. Instead, the Warriors played arguably their worst game as a collective this entire year given the stakes. They were flat-footed, out-coached and unprepared for the adjustments and energy the Kings beat them with.
The core have a few more miles on the legs and a supporting cast that’s mostly struggled until this point to lessen the load. Jordan Poole, who struggled early on with an ankle sprain, is averaging 12.7 points per game shooting 33.8% from 3. Donte DiVincenzo is averaging 4.8 points per game shooting 30.8% from 3 on an average 4.3 attempts per game.
The Warriors will have to amp their energy up in Game 7. They were out-rebounded and out-hustled in Game 6. The Kings’ small-ball adjustment created too many scoring lanes for the Warriors’ defense to cover, so an adjustment there will be needed.
