The Galaxy entered Saturday’s game against Austin FC riding a seven-game winless streak to start the 2023 season. More importantly, the club had lost its last three games.Thanks to a pair of second-half goals from its stars Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Riqui Puig, the Galaxy came away with a 2-0 win in front of 18,875 at Dignity Health Sports Park.
“We probably left a couple on the table that maybe we could have gotten, but beggars can’t be choosers right now and we’ll take the three points.” The Galaxy went to a formation change, starting in a 3-5-2, bringing Joveljic into the starting lineup and moving Julian Aude into the left back position.
