Futurama gets turned into live-action.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The characters of Futurama get imagined as if they existed in real life through the use of AI art. Co-created by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, Futurama aired on Fox from 1999-2003 and Comedy Central from 2008-2013. Futurama has recently been revived for a second time and is airing new episodes on Hulu.

With Futurama season 11 providing a resurgence in popularity for the show, superawesomeme has shared a post of what the characters could look like if they really existed. While Fry, Amy, Hermes, and Zapp Brannigan all look relatively normal, the rest of the characters provide a shocking look at the future. Bender has a more practical and robotic appearance, while Zoidberg and Kif look far more alien than they appear in animated form.

Could Futurama Work In Live-Action? While Futurama season 12 has not been renewed at the time of writing, there are no limits to the animated show. With a series that involves time travel, aliens, and particularly alternate realities, the show can cover any topic it desires. As seen recently on a crossover episode between Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Lower Decks, bringing animated characters into live-action can be done.

While a live-action Futurama may not be likely, it's not impossible to imagine it happening. Given how the show has accomplished the unlikely feat of being brought back on two separate occasions and released a number of straight-to-DVD movies, it has already proved to do unlikely things. As the art above proves, it's not out of the realm of possibility to see the Planet Express crew in live-action.
