Floyd, a black man, died after a white Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for 8 minutes 46 seconds. To no avail, Floyd begged for air and cried out for his mother, who had died two years earlier. His alleged crime? Using a counterfeit $20 bill to buy cigarettes.
