Liverpool go into their clash with Wolves without Trent Alexander-Arnold but await reports on Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz after their late returns from international duty
Wolves' Midlands rivals, Aston Villa, tasted defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's side last time out as the Reds cruised to victory, on the eve of the international break.
There could be a minor headache for the German head coach after the South American contingent only returned to training less than 24 hours before kick-off at Molineux. Alexis Mac Allister played 85 minutes against Bolivia with Uruguay manager Marcelo Bielsa revealing that Darwin Nunez was suffering from a muscle problem which saw him sacrificed at half-time of their defeat to Ecuador.
Klopp revealed that Ibrahima Konate returned to training after missing the Reds' previous two with a muscle injury. However, Liverpool were handed further issues, last week, when Virgil van Dijk's one-match was extended by a further game after he was charged with improper conduct following his red card vs Newcastle United.
"He is not available," said Klopp. "We knew that before. He didn't train with the team. It's not the worst hamstring injury but it's a hamstring injury. We hope he can start, because he's running already, ball work early next week."
