The brutal killing of Courtney Phillips in a Southeast Side home was described in an episode of “In Pursuit with John Walsh” in 2021.

When Phillips’ friends didn’t hear from her after the date, they asked police to check on the young mother. The San Antonio Police Department began working with the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force shortly after Phillip’s murder to locate Estrada.
