'I'm very annoyed. They're just wasting time'. Protesters using 'rolling roadblocks' have brought parts of the M4 to a standstill during demonstrations over high fuel prices.

Some 20 fuel protestors met in Magor services at the edge of the M4 near Newport this morning eager for a day of strike action - however, the organiser of today's promised Prince of Wales bridge disruption was notably absent."Head for the Bridge", it said, and with that - they were off. No banners or placards, just in their cars, vans, and a horsebox.Sky News counted at least 30 officers from Gwent Police - clearly prepared for the day's potential events.

However, the force warned that"deliberate disruption" of the network will"inconvenience huge numbers of people, draw police resources away from other important work and potentially delay the response times of emergency services". In Bristol, drivers seemed agitated by the protests, with one man telling Sky News:"They're just wasting time. It's a pain in the backside."

She said:"We had to leave those jobs because it was costing us £380 a week just to get to and from work.
