From a designer who’s dressed Lizzo to the high minds behind cannabis-inspired sundae school—meet the members who made the ForbesUnder30 Art & Style 2020 list:
By the time Christopher John Rogers won the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in November, the 26-year-old Baton Rouge native had already dressed Michelle Obama, Lizzo, Rihanna and Cardi B. The former first lady wore a custom iridescent blue pant suit by Rogers for the final stop of herbook tour. Lizzo has twice rocked Rogers creations on the red carpet, including a tennis ball yellow gown for the Glaad Awards.
The 2020 Forbes Art & Style 30 Under 30 list highlights Rogers, Yarlagadda and 28 other up-and-coming superstars from the worlds of fashion, photography, illustration, industrial design and the fine arts. A first on the list this year: a domino artist. Lily Hevish, 21, makes extraordinary toppling creations that have drawn more than 2.5 million subscribers and 800 million views on YouTube.
At 21, Reese Cooper, now 22, became the youngest-ever finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award. With no formal design training at age 19 he launched his eponymous menswear line, which evokes vintage American work clothes. South Korean immigrants Dae Lim, 27, and Mia Park, 28, are the pioneers of Sundae School, a line of hoodies, t-shirts and bucket hats designed for enjoying cannabis.
