'I truly believe something has happened to him. I think he's been abducted and is being held hostage somewhere'
The best friend of a missing man who was last seen near a river in Lancaster more than two months ago has pleaded with the public to help find him.
Because of the proximity to the River Lune, underwater search teams were tasked with scouring the surrounding area for Dan but the investigation has so far turned up few leads. In a Facebook post which has been shared by more than 4,500 people Daniel's best friend Chantelle has pleaded for the public's help.Chantelle, from Preston, told LancsLive she fears that Dan has been abducted.
"I know Dan like the back of my hand and he wouldn't just go missing like this," she said. "Something's not right and I think more should be being done to find him."
