Almost 3,000 more homes are still left to be built a popular housing development
in Nottinghamshire over the next 10 to 15 years. The growing neighbourhood of Middlebeck, near Newark town centre, is now made up of around 500 homes as well as Christchurch CofE Primary School, Gannets café and Middlebeck’s Cycle Hub.
"I think it's not surprising more people want to live here, but I think more people living here could also lead to more local businesses and amenities coming to the area." Sale advisor, Helen Oxley, 36, says she isn't phased by how big the development could grow. Recruitment worker, Kelsie Hill, 30, said: "I've only just moved here so I've only been here around two months, but yeah it's really good. It's a bit annoying with the building works opposite.
Semi-retired Julie Robb, 67, has lived at Middlebeck for more than two years. She said: "I like it here, but it will be nicer when all the building stuff has gone, but the estate is quite nice and friendly."
