The Foxton Centre has revealed its services offer housing with support to an average of 100 people each day in Preston
.
“We are proud to have delivered the service for the city, and were recently able to offer a further 10 places to rough sleepers in the bad weather. Preston is well placed to deliver services to rough sleepers thanks to Preston City Council, Community Gateway Association, Calico, Key, Progress Housing, Onward and the Foxton working in partnership under the banner of the Rough Sleepers Initiative .
At the end of December, the Foxton’s work to support homeless people moved from Avenham to the purpose developed Day Centre located in the basement of the Central Methodist Church in Fox Street.The first phase of work at the Day Centre was completed thanks to donations from businesses, in particular Kroll and McDonald’s, with further support in the form of two substantial legacies.
