Fox Weather reporter's flood rescue caught on camera
Robert Ray tried to push the car to higher ground. When that didn’t work, he pulled the woman from the car’s window.

A reporter for Fox 4 rescued a woman stranded in floodwaters near I-30 and Hi Line Drive.Reporter Robert Ray was preparing for a live shot early Monday morning when he spotted a car driving into rising floodwaters.Ray, a reporter for Fox Weather, waded into waist-deep water toward the sinking car.
When that doesn’t work, he opens the door, but water rushes into the vehicle. The two eventually decide the window is the best way out, and video shows Ray pull Carroll out of the passenger side window, then carry her to drier ground.. “Right then I started panicking. I just wanted to get out of my car. I wanted to tell him thank you. He’s awesome, a blessing from God, actually.
“When we cover this stuff, we don’t find ourselves immersed in the situation,” he said. “But we have to sometimes. As a human being, you’ve got to go in and try to help.”.
