A four-year-old boy has tragically died after he was hit by a car on Monday evening
Emergency services raced to George Road, near Brookvale Lake in Erdington, at roughly 6pm after receiving reports a child had been struck by a vehicle. The youngster was blue-lighted to hospital, but despite medics best efforts, he sadly passed away shortly after arriving.
“We are in the early stages of our investigation and we are appealing for witnesses or for anyone with dashcam footage to please contact us. The driver is helping us with our enquiries.” "We received a call at 6.04pm and upon arrival found the pedestrian who was a child. He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained life threatening injuries.
