Indianapolis police responded after a teen was fatally shot in the 3600 block of Merrick Way. Three other teens were injured.
Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana allows Indianapolis residents to share anonymous tips with law enforcement.One teen was killed and three others were injured in a shooting on the city's west side Wednesday morning, according to police. near West 38th Street and West Kessler Boulevard North Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found a teenager, whose exact age was not provided, with gunshot wounds in the hallway of an apartment building. He was pronounced dead on the scene, a news release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department stated. Later Wednesday morning, officers responded to Eskenazi Hospital where a teen arrived with gunshot wounds. They were listed in good condition. Two other teens arrived at Methodist Hospital with gunshot injuries. Police said one teen was in critical but stable condition and the other was in good condition Wednesday night. The three teens at the hospital are between ages 18-19, police said.
Homicide detectives said all of the teens were related to the same shooting at Merrick Way and do not believe anyone else was injured, the news release stated.
