Four taken to hospital after crash between tram and Mercedes causes huge delays for fans heading to Etihad
Four people were taken to hospital after a tram and a Mercedes collided on Wednesday night . The crash, on Ashton New Road, near Velopark tram stop, caused huge delays for fans heading to the Etihad Stadium.
It was one of numerous incidents on busy roads across Manchester on Wednesday night, with huge delays also reported on Mancunian Way and also Wilmslow Road, in Rusholme, after a crash. Two fire engines raced to the scene, where four people had to be rescued from the vehicle to be assessed by paramedics before they were taken to hospital.
