Four of Britain's top 10 most popular walks are just a drive away from Greater Manchester
There’s nothing quite like putting on a pair of walking boots and heading out on a hike through Britain’s gorgeous countryside. From North Wales’ impressive mountains to the Lake District’s stunning views, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful walking routes.
Using data collected from the OS Maps App, Ordnance Survey identified the nations 10 favourite walks. Coming in at number one is the spectacular Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, which includes Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and offers breathtaking views.Taking approximately 12 hours to complete, this hike is perhaps not for the faint-hearted but it is just a couple of hours’ away from Greater Manchester.
