Rebecca Richardson and her husband Tom are used to guests coming and going on their working farm, where they also house a trio of luxury wooden glamping pods.
The show is famed for its finale, where contestants meet to discuss how they have been rated by their rivals, with scores out of 10 for cleanliness and other factors alongside a payment amount the guests believes suits the standard of accommodation. And although Rebecca is not able to reveal any details, she did tease that there was "clear game-playing and tactical voting" as the competition went on.
The episodes will see the contestants visit businesses across the north of England, with the Richardson's Blossom, Bramble and Willow pods featured on the second episode. . The cosy hand-built pods are equipped with under-floor heating, a kitchenette and are ideal for families and couples, sleeping up to six guests.
"The pods are so personal to us, we've worked so hard building them and maintaining them so it is hurtful to hear people not being very nice about them," Rebecca explained. Although Rebecca and Tom had a "really good experience" overall and are excited to see the episodes air, which they plan to record so they can "watch them forever", she has some advice for prospective applicants. Rebecca added: "It isn't a decision that should be taken lightly, as it is a big commitment. Also, parts of it are quite staged so it is hard to be natural.
