Fort Worth police said the department was working the scene of a shooting that involved an officer Saturday afternoon.
The department said about 1:30 p.m. the shooting occurred in the 4900 block of Rutland Avenue, in the South Hills area. The department did not immediately provide any additional information, including whether police shot someone or whether someone shot an officer. They did not provide the conditions of anyone involved in the shooting.
We are working an officer involved shooting in the 4900 block of Rutland Ave. Media staging area will be at that same location.According to a police call log, officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Odessa — one block from the location provided by police — about 12:20 p.m. after a domestic disturbance was reported.
