I stared at the elevator door through which Hermann Goering had walked — sentenced to death by hanging. He cheated that by committing suicide. A hidden cyanide pill the night before. Einsatzgruppen were Nazi killing units whose job was to murder and rape a million unarmed civilians. Like at Babi Yar — near Kyiv, Ukraine — where more than 30,000 defenseless people were lined up to be shot to death.
The Hamas attack had zero to do with the Palestinians’ plight. Hamas in 2006 promised US charities, the UN, Israel and other Arab funds would build schools, hospitals, sewage, water systems, power plants. But instead spent it on arms, rockets, tunnels — and permitted no election since.
