The 33-year-old former Pro Bowler said it was time to go home and be with his daughter.

“That was the goal,” he added. “Ten to 12 years was my goal. I was able to get to a point where I did OK, did pretty well for myself. I think I just did enough. I have a daughter, and I need to go home and be with her and start living life.”

The 6-foot-5, 285 pounder was taken in the fifth round, 137th-overall, in the 2012 draft by the Denver Broncos. He played for the team through the 2015 season, and helped them defeat the Carolina Panthers in 2015. He recovered a strip sack of Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for a touchdown in the first quarter of that game.He played for the Eagles in 2019 and 2020 and last played for the Cleveland Browns in 2021.

He finished his career with 292 tackles, 35.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and 29 pass deflections.
