TEXAS — Leticia Van de Putte, a former Texas state senator from San Antonio, was badly injured Sunday in an auto-pedestrian crash in Orland, Florida, according to her husband.“Yesterday, my wife Leticia was involved in a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident in Florida. She was the pedestrian. She suffered multiple injuries but is currently in stable condition,”
wrote in a Facebook post. “We ask that you keep her and her family in your prayers. I will update you as we know more.”District in the Texas Senate from 1999-2015. She additionally was a member of the Texas House from 1991-199. In 2014, she was the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor but lost in the general election to current lieutenant governor Dan Patrick.
