Zoe Billingham, a former inspector of constabulary, said Lancashire Police’s disclosure of personal health information has ‘further eroded’ trust in the police
An independent force should now be brought in to review how Lancashire Police were conducting their investigation, added Ms Billingham, who served as Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary for ten years.
“It’s really common procedure, when there’s an ongoing investigation, to review the status of an investigation after a period of time. I think that we’ve got to that point,” Ms Billingham added.
