The 53-year-old former NBA star was arrested Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
“One car fled,” the tweet said. “No injuries were reported. A gun was recovered. A 53-year-old male was booked for Drive-By-Shooting. The investigation is ongoing.”
Kemp was a six-time All-Star for the Seattle SuperSonics. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic. Kemp was an athletic power forward who was known for electrifying dunks, and he teamed with Gary Payton to make the SuperSonics a contender through the mid-90s. Kemp finished his career with 15,347 points, 8,834 rebounds and 1,279 blocks.
