Former Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso has opened up on the transfer that took him away from Anfield
Former Liverpool youngster Suso has opened up on his regret at leaving Anfield - admitting if he was in the position again he would have reconsidered staying on Merseyside.
The attacking midfielder made more than 150 appearances for the Italian giants before a move to Sevilla in 2020, where he has added two Europa League titles to his resume. “I went the year the Americans bought the club and started making lots of signings," said Suso. "Brendan said: ‘Stay here, I’m going to keep counting on you.’ But when you’re young maybe you don’t think things through fully, don’t have the patience. I wanted to go to a ‘normal’ team where I could play every game and come back more mature, ready. Maybe if I was in that situation again now I wouldn’t do the same.
