He was just 21-years-old.

No cause of death has been reported.

Boateng last played in 2021 when he spent the year with the Gators as a walk-on after transferring from Clemson. He was a former three-star recruit from Florida’s Fort Lauderdale High School.“It’s hard to find the words in a moment like this,” Florida head coach Billy Napier said in a tweet. “This is a phone call you never want to receive as a parent or as a coach — especially about a former player.
